Abstract
With fast economic growth and urbanization, Chinese cities have been investing enormous resources into urban transportation without systematically comparing the social consequences of rival technologies and systems. This seminar reports work-in-progress comparing urban transportation modes in the context of large Chinese cities, and exploring the relationship among demand heterogeneity, service diversity, and economic efficiency.
