The Harvard-China Project is co-sponsoring a workshop organized by the Harvard Center for Risk Analysis to honor Prof. John S. Evans, a core member of HCRA since its founding almost 30 years ago. Evans has also contributed to and advised Harvard-China Project environmental health research for nearly 20 years. The workshop aims to support improved public policy decisions, and has two overlapping themes: (1) building on the contributions of John Evans, and (2) addressing the issues at the intersection of risk assessment and economics. The workshop will feature papers by leading experts in related fields, listed here, including seven Harvard-China Project affiliates or alumni.

The lead sponsor of the workshop is the Society of Risk Analysis Economics and Benefits Analysis Specialty Group, and co-sponsors in addition to the Harvard-China Project include the Department of Environmental Health of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the Harvard University Center for Environment, and others.

While open to the public, registration for the workshop has reached capacity; join the waitlist to be notified if space becomes available.
