APPLY for a POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW or VISITING RESEARCHER Position for Academic Year 2022-23
Every year the Harvard-China Project on Energy, Economy and Environment, an interdisciplinary program based at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, appoints a number of visiting researchers from other universities and several postdoctoral fellows. Visiting researchers range from Ph.D. students (called “fellows” at Harvard) to junior and tenured faculty members (“visiting scholars”). Postdoctoral fellows must have received their Ph.D. degree by the time of their appointment; we will currently only consider postdoc applicants who have secured external funding as our internally funded positions are filled. We encourage those who have strong academic and research records related to our current research areas to apply for these opportunities.
Applications will be online in November 2021 to join the Harvard-China Project during the academic year 2022-2023 (typically between August 2022 and August 2023, although visits that fall outside of the academic year would also be considered). Applicants from all geographic regions are welcome to apply, with some preference for applicants from China and India. Due to the geographical focus of our research, Chinese language skills are sometimes advantageous, but not strictly required.
Components of a complete application include:
1) A one-page cover letter (in PDF or Word);
2) A curriculum vitae (in PDF or Word);
3) Contact information for three references; and
4) A brief 1-page research proposal (in PDF or Word).
Please email Kellie Nault, Communications Manager, with any questions about the program.
