Harvard-China Project Photo Contest Winners

This fall, the Harvard-China Project hosted an inaugural Photo Contest. Winners in the three categories are:

YangbajainENERGY & ENVIRONMENT IN CHINA: Wei Zhang, GSD/GSAS - G4 - Architectural Technology. Title of Photo: “Yangbajain Geothermal Power Plant,” The highest-altitude renewable energy production.

Lotus PeakNATURAL LANDSCAPE OF CHINA: Rebecca Xi, Harvard College 2022, Applied Math/Economics. Title of Photo: “Lotus Peak,” Descending from Lotus Peak, the highest point on China's famous Huangshan.

ChongqingURBAN LANDSCAPE AND CITIES OF CHINA: Philip Milana, Harvard College 2021, Economics/EAS. Title of photo: “Chongqing,” Overview of Chongqing, taken from a temple overlooking the city.

We also awarded a special prize for the HARVARD-CHINA PROJECT NEWSLETTER COVER IMAGE to Jiayin Lu, SEAS PhD G2, Applied Mathematics, for "Jade Dragon Snow Mountain" captured in Lijiang, Yunnan Province. This photo will appear on the cover of our Winter 2020 newsletter.

Entrants hailed from across Harvard, specifically: Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, Graduate School of Arts and Design, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard Kennedy School.
